Admission procedure through CUCAS

1. Submit application

Applicants should click the “submit” button to send your application to the university. The school will not process your application for any programs until your application fee is received. Details>>

2. Wait for school processing

It normally takes 4 to 8 weeks for the university’s admissions office to process the application. You can log in to your personal CUCAS account to check your application status.

3. Receive application result

Once the decision is made by the university admissions office, your application result will be displayed instantly in your personal CUCAS account. CUCAS will also automatically send a notification to your registered e-mail address.

It takes several working days to send your Admission Letter and visa application form (JW202 form). With these documents, you can apply for your Chinese visa. Please note that before dispatching your admission package, CUCAS will send you a email to confirm your mailing address. You must carefully reply to that confirmation letter to make sure your mailing address is correct.

4. Apply for a Chinese visa

Students who will study in China need to apply for a visa. Foreign students studying in China are required to hold an ordinary passport and either an X visa or an F-visa. Details>>

5. Taking the physical examination

All foreigners who come to China to study for longer than 6 months are required to undergo a medical examination either before or after they enter China. Details>>

6. Prepare for university

Before you start at university or college you need to make sure you have everything ready, such as accommodation, finances, travel arrangements, books and equipment required for the program.

7. Problem solving

If you have not received a reply for more than 4 weeks, you can contact the CUCAS student support team at admission@cucas.cn to solve the problem.
